BDS – Householder Property Check Form

Please use this form for Householder, Listed Building Consent and standalone barn conversions.

Once we have received your email we will proceed with the data request. A Householder Property Check costs £25 + vat and you will be sent an invoice with details on how to pay following data provision.

Data provision

A property search is usually only relevant for minor changes to a single property by the householder, single barn conversions or for listed building consent. This form may be used for applications within the Dorset Council or BCP area.

The search will include a check for European Protected Species, Badger, Barn Owl and selected invasive non-native species within a 50m radius from the centre of the site.

Once we have received this form we will proceed with the data request. An invoice with payment details will follow.

We can usually provide data within 5 working days. If there are no species records you will get a formal note which you can provide to the NET (Dorset Council) or BCP Council or an Excel file with species records.
