Joint meeting with Wiltshire Botanical Society to this part of the Purbeck Heaths NNR around Slepe Heath close to The Arne Triangle. This is an afternoon meeting, following on from the morning visit to Wareham Common. We’ll be searching a variety of habitats for some local specialities such as Marsh Helleborine Epipactis palustris, Yellow Centaury Cicendia filiformis, Crassula tillaea, Viper’s-grass Scorzonera humilis, Brown Beak-sedge Rhyncospora fusca and some less common Potamogetons and Sedges.
When: Approximately 1.30pm to 3.30pm. Depending on when we leave Wareham Common.
