Botanical walk to enjoy the mid-season display at this expansive SSSI in East Dorset. Some of
the rare acid grassland and notable tracks of the earlier visit will be covered, along with
complementary areas such as damp heathland. Possibility of seeing Deptford Pink in flower
and, depending on previous success, further counts of Small Adder’s-tongue fern may be
included. We will be joining forces with the Avon Heath rangers and volunteers.

Fairly level terrain but some muddy tracks. Public transport on Saturdays is limited to
taxi services.
